Genefast srl is a biotechnology company based in Italy founded in 2003, working in the field of Molecular Diagnostics applied to Veterinary Medicine. The Laboratory is headed by Dr Maria Elena Turba, DVM, PhD, MBA.
The main fields of activity are: diagnosing infectious diseases (serology, PCR, quantitative PCR); diagnosing genetic diseases, and coat colour and quality; parentage verification for dogs, cats and horses; diagnosing neoplastic disorders.
A secure, online client reporting system provides timely results. Genefast has been a member of ISAG since 2008, and is an accreditated ENCI laboratory for DNA banking services.
Dr. Maria Elena Turba, a veterinary surgeon registered in the Order of the Province of Forlì and Cesena, is the Medical Director and the founder of Genefast.
In 2007 he obtained a PhD in Biotechnological applications in neuromorphophysiology at the University of Bologna and in 2014 an EMBA master at the Bologna Business School.
In 2003 he founded Genefast srl with the aim of carrying out research on the molecular basis of genetic diseases and oncological disorders of pets.
In 2016 he founded Xenturion Diagnostics srl with the aim of developing new molecular diagnostic methods for the detection of infectious diseases and antibiotic resistance.
She is currently the author of 41 articles in international specialized journals and I have created and filed two patents.
